3 Pigs: The value of lasting Relationships: Harvard Study of Adult Development: Good relationships keep us happier and healthier. Social interaction is beneficial. Loneliness is toxic and kills us. low quality and high conflict relationships are worse stress than divorce. Good relationships protect our brains. ref Youtube: q-7-zAkwAOYg.

Qualities to build a house on.

Foundations: 2 Cor 6: 14-16: have the same values. Don't be unequally yoked: common belief in Christ.

Qualities: strong Bricks: Praying together, caring, sharing,...... 1 Cor 3: 9-16  Kingdom qualities: our bricks 

Matt 5: 3-16: humility, comfort, dependence on God, honesty, mercy ..... 1 Pet 3: 3-7: Gentle and quiet spirit, accept authority

Husband: Honour (value) you wife. treat her , so that your prayers are not hindered

The Roof: Col 3: 12-14 , Tenderhearted mercy, kindness, gentleness, .... clothe with love.

We are flawed people - not perfect - need Kingdom qualities to glue relationships together.

The 3 Pigs leave home and build their houses. Who's fault that the Wolf destroys the houses.

Who is the Wolf, in your life? Hardship, sickness, poverty, stress etc

How can you Wolf-proof your house?

House of Straw: Selfishness, Superficiality, Looks, Passion, Feelings, Lies, Pleasure

House of Wood: (more robust): Status, Job security, Children, Wealth, Power

House of Brick: next week (10 Apr)

The Material is the difference: Strength, Integrity

God is in control:

2 Common threads: 1. Call to Repent 2. Challenge to be victorious: Don't give up.

Mar 6 Glen, Prophesy announces the Will of God

What is God's Will  for Earth? Matt 6: 9-13  "Thy Will be done"

1. Not everything that happens is Gods Will. 

2. What is God's Will? Live holy, pure, just lives. Show Justice, grace, mercy. Rom 8: 18-25: remove Sin's natures. 1Jn 3: 4-10  All sin contrary to God's will. Children of God to live righteously: World without greed, selfishness, jealousy. Showing Grace. Jesus came to destroy things of the Devil: Rom 8: 18-25. In the world, but not of the world.

3. What is God's Curse?  Deut 28: 1-6, 15-21. 

God's future Deut 30: 1-6. Jesus's kingdom being revealed to world. 

4. Jesus redeemed the world: Gal 3:13, Eph 3: 6-13, You are a glimpse of God's glory, Col 1: 27

5. We are to model the Kingdom to the world. Col 1; 10, Luke 10: 7-9, making a difference in the community/ model Kingdom of God. Matt 24: 36

We are to be: 1. Known for giving love. 2. Don;t grow complacent against temptation.

GOD'S KINGDOM: loading.

 

Feb 28 Glen: God is All Knowing

God is Omniscient: All knowing, All wise. All seeing.     Dan 2: 1-30 Mystery revealed Dan 2:46-47

1. God controls all events: God's enemy can attack us: he is the destroyer of people/ relationships; he opposes God.

2. Because God is omniscient: We can trust Him : Rom 8.28 God works for good of those who love Him.  Rom 8: 26-30, God cannot be caught out: 

3. God can be trusted because His character is at stake. : God is good, all the time.Ex 3: 7-15 'I AM , the one will be with you'

Have you been faithful in what you have been called to do? God is not surprised by upsets. 

God is working for your good.

GOD, not Google, has all the answers.
